musee de cire

During a visit to a wax museum, two young friends sneak into the wax sculptor's workshop. They escape after seeing his most recent creation. Students discover how wax figures are created. Finally, they play the role of a wax museum tour guide as they present the wax figure of their choice.

Mme. Tussaud's museum

Here is the link to Mme. Tussauds' website for her museum. The link will show you some of the many figures that can be seen at the museum and how they were created. If you look at different locations, there will be different wax figures to look at. Enjoy!

projet final & presentation

The students are working on a final presentation for their unit's tache finale. They are choosing a famous person (actrice/acteur, singer, dancer, producer, scientist, researcher, etc), and presenting them as if they were presenting the wax figure in a museum to a tour group.

All instructions are on page 61-62 in their binder, with also a full example that students are more than welcome to model their speeches after. They will be receiving in class time to work up to the presentation date. The project is due ?????
I highly suggests students not only use the examples, but also go to the following websites for extra help in spelling:

Here is a file which we worked on as a class for our written component to help them create their written.
