The
Gr. 6 class has just begun their new unit (Le monde sous-marin), which is on
les poissons tropicaux (tropical fish). In this unit they will:
- identify and describe specific marine animals
- identify precautions that must be taken with marine animals
- talk about feeding habits and personalities of marine animals
- discuss life on the coral reef
- identify ways to organize one's notes and research
- plan a budge
- work together to plan an aquarium.
Attached is an online quiz/game link to quia that the students may visit to practice their vocabulary for this unit.
An extra link for our Gr.6 class as they get into learning about les poissons tropicaux. The attached link will bring you to Disney's French page of Le monde de Nemo where you can get into la salle de classe de M. Raie. Here students can explore some more information and images on the recif de corail.

Did you know that our coral reef tank not only features a variety of beautiful fish but is also home to a large variety of marine invertebrates including snails, hermit crabs, sea stars, tube worms, anemones and giant clams!

3. Look at the files below regarding Neptune's visit time and feeding time.
4. Go onto Quia and play some of the games for Poissons Sous-marins.

6. Get a jump start and take a look at the PPT below on the Great Barrier Reef
