Au Casse-croute

It's not easy to work at a snack bar. Customers are sometimes hard to deal with and often there are many items on the menu. In this unit, students learn how to serve customers and how to take orders at a snack bar. Students create a snack bar concept and present it to the class.

Defi au restaurant

Defi!! En groupe de 3, choississez un restaurant. Cree vos commandes pour ce restaurant avec le buget de 40.00$ dont chaque membre du groupe  doit manger. Un boisson, un entree et une chose de surplus.

Quiz- Pouvoir, Vouloir, Devoir

The students will be having a quiz on their pouvoir, vouloir, devoir irregular verbs on Wednesday Oct. 12th. They will receive between 5-10 questions for each of the three verbs. Question format will be given as either fill in the blanks and multiple choice. Students should study using their textbook, handouts and practice with the Quia games posted for them.

Projet final

The Gr. 8 class has been assigned their final project for their unit Casse-croute. The students are to create their own original restaurant and present to the class through the visual aids (i.e. of a poster and a menu, PPT, Prezi, video, etc.) for their restaurant. Cue cards are permitted for their presentation. REMEMBER: This is a French class, so the project and presentation are expected to be in French!!!!
Things to be included:
- name of their restaurant
- a slogan
- pictures
- prices (listed on their menu)
- combos available (listed on their menu)
- menu choices (listed on their menu)
- The verbs vouloir, pouvoir & devoir at least one time EACH
- the use of the imperative at least ONE time
- Text should hit a minimum of 20 sentences
More details can be found on the double sided checklist and guideline given to each student. They should use the model page to help them with their assignment. A copy of this file is below (one is blank, the other has all notes done in class).
Students are expected to purchase and bring to class their own bristol board posters.

We will have some class time to work on projects, so be sure to come prepared! Bring your technology!
Presentations will begin on Wednesday October 21st. We will have a random order, so be prepared to present at any time.

Work time for projects:
Students will have time to work on their projects in the computer lab during the designated french class time. Please bring any begun work on USB keys, email work to yourself, or have a list of websites you'd like to look at for information.
Come prepared please!
