Bienvenue aux classes de français!
Events

Bienvenue! Welcome!
My name is Mme. Pasyk and I would like to welcome my new  & returning students to another great year here at St. Andrew's! I am your child's Core French Teacher and I am looking forward to providing them with the experience of learning a second language.
I will do my best to provide a fun and motivating learning environment to enhance your child's appreciation of another culture. However, I do need your support. Your interest, positive attitude, involvement and encouragement are crucial to ensure success in any subject.
I will continue to update this website throughout the year so that you and your child can see updates as to what we're working on in class; any upcoming quizes, tests, assignments that your child may have; as well as additional information to either help your child with varying concepts learned in class, or to give students more information to varying points in French culture.
I look forward to meeting you throughout the school year, and working together as partners in your child's learning.
Merci :)
Together we will be exploring the wonders of the francophone (French-speaking) world, as well as learning to understand spoken and written French, to speak and to read and write in French! This is an exciting time, and this weebly is a tool designed to help you learn and study! So come on, let's get going! On y va!

Quia:
All students will be receiving soon a username and password for an online website called Quia. It is a site in which I have created several different types of online games, quizes and tests so that students can use this as a tool to practice and review their vocabulary, verb concepts etc as we learn throughout the year. Every unit and grade is divided by category for easier use.
I will post updates as I slowly add more games and practice activities for students. If you forget or lose your password/login, please email me using contact information above and I will email you the information asap.

Youtube:
As the French curriculum moves more towards a more auditory and oral based learning, we are trying to get more exposure to listening to other French speakers from around the world in different contexts. Here is the link for our French youtube channel. You can go here to view videos from culture days, French music videos, French news, videos related to our units or class projects. There are also playlists to help you find the video you're looking for a little easier! Amusez-vous!:D
